Directions to Campus

Registration will be held at the Stephen Robert '62 Campus Center on the corner of Brown and Waterman Streets (visitor's map).
If you are using a GPS navigator, please enter 75 Waterman Street, Providence, RI 02912 as the destination address.


By Car

From I-95 North and South
Follow I-95 to Exit 22A ("Downtown / Memorial Boulevard"). At the end of the exit ramp proceed straight onto Memorial Boulevard, and continue on Memorial Boulevard until you reach the intersection with Washington Street. Turn left onto Washington Street. Continuing straight ahead on Washington Street, the street will turn into Waterman Street, and will take you up College Hill and onto Brown's campus, with the campus center on the righthand side, about a block beyond the clock tower.

From I-195 West
Follow I-195 West to Exit 3 ("Gano Street / India Point"). At the traffic light at the end of the exit ramp, make a right onto Gano Street. Continue on Gano Street until you reach the intersection with Angell Street. Turn left onto Angell Street, and continue until you reach the intersection with Brown Street. Turn left onto Brown Street. Continue to the end of Brown Street, which will form a T-intersection with Waterman Street, right in front of the campus center.

From US-6 East
Follow US-6 East. US-6 will take you into the city of Providence, where it will merge with RI-10. About 1.5 miles following this merge, take the exit for "Providence Downtown," and follow signage for "Memorial Boulevard." At the end of the exit ramp, proceed straight onto Memorial Boulevard, and continue on Memorial Boulevard until you reach the intersection with Washington Street. Turn left onto Washington Street. Continuing straight ahead on Washington Street, the street will turn into Waterman Street, and will take you up College Hill and onto Brown's campus, with the campus center on the righthand side, about a block beyond the clock tower.

By Train

Providence Station is served by Amtrak (Northeast Regional and Acela Express) and the MBTA Providence/Stoughton Line. Campus is a short cab ride or a fifteen minute walk (uphill) away from the train station.

By Bus

Providence is served by the Greyhound and Peter Pan bus lines. The Providence bus terminal is Kennedy Plaza, a short cab ride or a fifteen minute walk (again, uphill) to campus.

By Air

Named for Senator Theodore Francis Green, class of 1887, T.F. Green International Airport (PVD) is served by many local and national airlines. The airport, which is located in the city of Warwick, is approximately 10 miles from the University. A variety of ground transportation options are available from the terminal to campus.

For those delegations traveling to Brown from abroad, there are a number of transportation options running from Boston Logan International Airport to Providence, including the MBTA commuter rail line and various bus services mentioned above.
